Dust Devil Films is founded by Director, Producer, Writer Heather Braden who is also a partner at A VICTUS Film USA founded by Heather Braden, Ben Blaskovic, and Christopher Schlierf. We relocated from NYC, and Germany after falling in love with Southern Utah. Together we have 50+ years of experience, is composed of experienced professionals who are passionate about creating high-quality stories that captivate and inspire audiences.

Bio Heather Braden

Dust Devil Film is founded by Heather Braden (co founder of A VIctus Films) a director, executive producer and writer developing numerous scripted series, and narrative films. Heather was a commercial photographer, producer, gaffer, art director, and script supervisor who began at age 13 on film sets of Gus Van Sant in Portland Oregon. She moved to NYC on a model contract at age 15, at 18 she attended Art Center in Pasadena and later FIT in NYC studying photography and art history. Heather transitioned to behind the camera working as an assitant for 7 years to renowned directors and photographers on thousands of large and small productions on 3 continents in 22+ countries leading 50 person teams as a producer and photographer to developing countries for global ad campaigns for almost 15 years before relocating to the west coast to follow her dream of directing, producing, and writing. 

Heather is passionate about telling visual stories. Her extended team has 50+ years of international experience in the industry and we are committed to producing high-quality storylines that engages and inspires audiences. As well as preparing to direct her first feature "Homeschooled" in 2025.
